When you come to Pridnestrovie, don't miss the wine museum "Butylka". Located in the village of Ternovka, just 10 km from Tiraspol, a tour of the museum includes tasting of local area wines and cognacs.

The museum is housed inside a 28 meter tall bottle shaped building, the largest of its kind in the world. This five-story structure is listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest building in the world in the shape of a bottle. It features owner Grigory Korzun's vast collection of liquor.

Rare and exclusive examples of bottles are on the display: more than 4,000 kinds of alcoholic drinks from 70 countries of the world make up the collection. Tasting of wines and cognacs is suggested after the viewing of the museum’s collection.

The word "Butylka", quite appropriately, means bottle. It is located in a quiet place not far from the River Dniester.

The museum is also the location of the charming "Hotel Butylka" (€70/DBL).
