Most people don't know the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublica, or Transnistria as it is also sometimes called. The country is one of the smallest in Europe so it tends to be overlooked.

You won't find Pridnestrovie (PMR) in history books ... it only declared independence in 1990, less than 17 years ago.
